Controller

Major multinational manufacturer of thermoplastic piping systems and instrumentation serving the microelectronics, water treatment, chemical processing, food and beverage, and life sciences market segments is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual for the US Sales & marketing business.  This is the top finance position in the company and will partner with the Managing Director for the $220M sales operation to drive positive financial performance.  This is not just an accounting position; it is a financial leadership partner to the business and is expected to challenge business partners to drive continuous improvement through fact based analytics.  The ideal candidate will be operationally focused and will need to have a strong background in both accounting and financial analytics.

Our ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Business Administration or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Controller disciplines, including preparation of financial statements and all related activity including monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual reporting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Provide value added input through the interpretation of financial results as they affect the business unit to drive effective decision making
  • The ability to be comfortable with high volume workload and shifting priorities
  • Ability to manage projects and lead programs from conception to completion with measurable results
  • Supervise, train and evaluate accounting staff including cost accountant

Product Manager, Engineered Piping Systems

Georg Fischer LLC a world leader in plastic piping systems for industrial applications seeks a highly organized, motivated and energetic candidate for our Product Management group. The position is very dynamic and works closely with R&D, Marketing, and manufacturing facilities. You will be tasked with maintaining and growing your individual product line. Industries we serve include microelectronics, chemical processing, food and beverage, life sciences, energy, and water treatment. A major function of the Product Manager is to facilitate communication and work flow between various internal departments, outside vendors, and directly with our customers.

Our ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Project Management experience a plus
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably, mechanical, civil, or chemical
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment
  • Customer focused mind-set
  • Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Project Specialist

This role promotes and supports Georg Fischer Piping Systems by managing all aspects of designated projects to ensure that the job is completed to the customer’s satisfaction. This includes managing and monitoring customer orders, quotes, deliveries and job progress. In addition, this position requires frequent, detailed communication via verbal, written and electronic means to owners, engineers, manufacturers, distributors and fellow GF employees.  

Responsibilities will include creating schedules, management of materials, and preparation of 2, 4 and 6 week look ahead schedules to maintain a proactive approach for each project.  In addition to being the driving force behind each project, applicants must have the ability to interpret and communicate product, pricing and technical information.

  • Minimum 4 years Project Management experience in a business related field or Bachelor degree preferred

Senior Design Engineer

The Seniors Design Engineer is delivering planning and support for engineering parties (i.e. ECP’s, Engineering Firms and International Project teams). This person may review existing customer drawings and evaluate for stress analysis, thermal expansion and or compare metal to plastic performance differences. This person may also calculate new plastic piping systems in general including related components (e.g. pipe clamps, bracketing and supports).

Main tasks include but not limited:

  • Engineering calculation and design layout of platic piping system
  • Material take-offs to support quotations for projects converting metal to plastic
  • Engineering calculation of installations considering all relevant parameters (pressure, temperature, media, lifetime service, joining techniques, etc.)
  • Supplying documentation for PE stamp and 3rd party review
  • Calculations for fixed point supports, guides, expansion loops, flanges, structural, etc.
  • Hydraulic calculations for pressure loss, pipe sizing, water hammer, mechanical and thermal stress analysis, seismic, etc.
  • Standard detail development and installation recommendation
  • Use and implementation of pipe design software and adaption of proprietary GF software (ROHR2), PDMS, PDS, etc.
  • Conduct and lead design review sessions with GF customers and 3rd parties

Duties and Reponsibilities:

  1. Good Attendance
  2. Work effectively with all company personnel, customers, OEMS, and end users to present a professional, consistent image. Interactions includes sharing of ideas, keeping commitments, keeping others informed of the work progress
  3. Good organizational skill that allow for easy transfer of knowledge and best practices
  4. Proficient in design and modeling software to effectively communicate products or concepts to customers
  5. Work closely with Custom Product and manufacturing companies in regards to Custom Products and Forecasting
  6. Completes work accurately and on time
  7. This position may also require certain management and department responsibilities
  8. Occasional site visits to meet with customer's engineering counterparts to review documents
  9. Some international travel may be required
  10. Committed to the protection of the environment and health and safety of our employees, customers, and neighbors. Responsible for maintaining and continuously improving our Environmental Management System (EMS).

Desired Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of advanced engineering experience (ME) in the field of design, ECP, or construction services relating to process piping systems
  • Proficient in SolidWorks or similar modeling software
  • Experience with BIM and/or Plant Design digital libraries
  • Proficient personal computer skills, including working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • PE stamp is highly desirable
  • Passing the Company Post-Employment physical as well as controlled substance testing and background/security checks, as required

  • Ability to work with and preserve confidential information

Vinyl/HDPE Area Sales Manager

A major multinational manufacturer of thermoplastic piping systems and instrumentation, serving the microelectronics, water treatment, commercial water, chemical processing,  data center/mission critical, food and beverage and life sciences/institutional market segments, is seeking a highly motivated Area Sales Manager to grow our HDPE and  PVC/CPVC industrial pipe, fitting, and valve business in the states of Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi and Puerto Rico.  You will be responsible for promoting Georg Fischer Piping Systems by developing and maintaining relationships with key accounts, distributors, and engineering firms.  Responsibilities also include creating and/or changing specifications with Engineers, OEMs, Mechanical Contractors, and End Users to achieve sales success.

The ideal candidate will reside within the Atlanta area.

Our ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • A degree in sales or engineering OR equivalent experience with water and chemical piping systems
  • 5+ years' experience in a sales environment
  • Prefer sales experience with industrial and plumbing distributor channels
  • General computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • The assignment calls for domestic travel
