Position: Area Sales Manager - Pre-insulated Piping Systems

Georg Fischer is looking to add a hardworking Area Sales Manager to our newly formed sales team! This team member is responsible for account management in the assigned sales region. You will manage relationships, generate and pursue sales leads, coordinate proposals, and drive sales within designated region.

A day in the life as an Area Sales Manager - Pre-insulated Piping Systems:

Business Development:

  • Act as a "Brand Ambassador" utilizing your passion and talent to drive success
  • Play an active part in the local trades' community - support local trade organizations through regular meetings and special events
  • Cross division collaboration to leverage Georg Fischer's full product and services portfolio, providing best in class solutions to our customers
  • Work with specifying engineers and end users to select the best product for their application

Account Management:

Project Specialist

This role promotes and supports Georg Fischer Piping Systems by managing all aspects of designated projects to ensure that the job is completed to the customer’s satisfaction. This includes managing and monitoring customer orders, quotes, deliveries and job progress. In addition, this position requires frequent, detailed communication via verbal, written and electronic means to owners, engineers, manufacturers, distributors and fellow GF employees.

Senior Design Engineer

The Seniors Design Engineer is delivering planning and support for engineering parties (i.e. ECP’s, Engineering Firms and International Project teams). This person may review existing customer drawings and evaluate for stress analysis, thermal expansion and or compare metal to plastic performance differences. This person may also calculate new plastic piping systems in general including related components (e.g. pipe clamps, bracketing and supports).

Main tasks include but not limited:

  • Engineering calculation and design layout of platic piping system
  • Material take-offs to support quotations for projects converting metal to plastic
  • Engineering calculation of installations considering all relevant parameters (pressure, temperature, media, lifetime service, joining techniques, etc.)
  • Supplying documentation for PE stamp and 3rd party review
  • Calculations for fixed point supports, guides, expansion loops, flanges, structural, etc.
  • Hydraulic calculations for pressure loss, pipe sizing, water hammer, mechanical and thermal stress analysis, seismic, etc.
  • Standard detail development and installation recommendation
  • Use and implementation of pipe design software and adaption of proprietary GF software (ROHR2), PDMS, PDS, etc.
  • Conduct and lead design review sessions with GF customers and 3rd parties
