Position: Area Sales Manager - Pre-insulated Piping Systems

Georg Fischer is looking to add a hardworking Area Sales Manager to our newly formed sales team! This team member is responsible for account management in the assigned sales region. You will manage relationships, generate and pursue sales leads, coordinate proposals, and drive sales within designated region.

A day in the life as an Area Sales Manager - Pre-insulated Piping Systems:

Business Development:

  • Act as a "Brand Ambassador" utilizing your passion and talent to drive success
  • Play an active part in the local trades' community - support local trade organizations through regular meetings and special events
  • Cross division collaboration to leverage Georg Fischer's full product and services portfolio, providing best in class solutions to our customers
  • Work with specifying engineers and end users to select the best product for their application

Account Management:

  • Manage local relationship with sales channel representatives (manufacturer's representative agents, system integrators, distributors etc.) and recommend actions required to maximize business opportunities
  • Prepare monthly sales exports and business metrics; identify sales opportunities; report on trends and new product
  • Develop proposals by identifying themes and "selling points" and preparing various components such as executive and summaries
  • Manage travel (up to 70% of the time), manage territory cost center, expenses, and meet or exceed personal goals and/or critical performance factors

Communication:

  • Serves as an internal expert communicating the customers' requirements to drive new product development
  • Work closely with associates on the regional sales team, coordinating efforts with other regions, National Account Manager, Product Managers, or other Company departments to support territory objectives
  • Gather and share market intel, such as latest trends and new products

What you'll bring...

  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent), preferably in Engineering or Marketing/Business Management
  • Five years sales experience in a related environment, preferred
  • Previous experience working within the HVAC industry or within piping systems is beneficial
  • Experience in working with Engineers to influence construction specifications is highly desired
  • Highly motivated, proactive, and organized self-starter with a 'can-do' attitude
  • Must have an eye for detail and a strong desire to grow the business
  • Able to lead multiple projects in various stages simultaneously with excellent time and project management skills
  • Confidence in presenting for groups of various sizes live and through digital presentations using relevant software such as PowerPoint, experience in Microsoft Office

Data Management / Inventory Specialist

A Major multinational manufacturer of thermoplastic piping systems and instrumentation serving the semiconductor, water treatment, chemical processing, food and beverage and life sciences/institutional market segments, with revenues in excess of $2.5B is seeking a highly motivated Data Management/Inventory Specialist to create and maintain material master data information in SAP & PLM Systems.  This position is responsible for ensuring the integrity of the SAP & PLM material master, material costing, bill of materials, and product routings.  As wells as, inventory analysis, reporting and reconciliation.

Inside Sales Manager

A major multinational manufacturer of thermoplastic piping systems and instrumentation, serving the microelectronics, water treatment, commercial water, chemical processing,  data center/mission critical, food and beverage, life sciences/institutional and building technology market segments, is seeking a highly motivated and responsible Inside Sales Manager for the supervision and management of the Inside Sales department.  

This employee will be responsible for hiring, training and management of new and established sales professionals in a fast-paced environment.  They will continue to foster our values led customer-focused culture, while focusing on solution-based sales. Through ongoing coaching and skill development, they will create a team of problem solvers, trusted partners and solid contributors to GF and our Customers success. As a leader in the organization, they will work cross-functionally with our Outside Sales, Operations and Supply Chain teams, to ensure a successful customer experience. In addition, this position spends approximately 50% of work time performing administrative duties.

Inside Sales Representative

Senior Design Engineer

The Seniors Design Engineer is delivering planning and support for engineering parties (i.e. ECP’s, Engineering Firms and International Project teams). This person may review existing customer drawings and evaluate for stress analysis, thermal expansion and or compare metal to plastic performance differences. This person may also calculate new plastic piping systems in general including related components (e.g. pipe clamps, bracketing and supports).

Main tasks include but not limited:

  • Engineering calculation and design layout of platic piping system
  • Material take-offs to support quotations for projects converting metal to plastic
  • Engineering calculation of installations considering all relevant parameters (pressure, temperature, media, lifetime service, joining techniques, etc.)
  • Supplying documentation for PE stamp and 3rd party review
  • Calculations for fixed point supports, guides, expansion loops, flanges, structural, etc.
  • Hydraulic calculations for pressure loss, pipe sizing, water hammer, mechanical and thermal stress analysis, seismic, etc.
  • Standard detail development and installation recommendation
  • Use and implementation of pipe design software and adaption of proprietary GF software (ROHR2), PDMS, PDS, etc.
  • Conduct and lead design review sessions with GF customers and 3rd parties

Duties and Reponsibilities:

  1. Good Attendance
  2. Work effectively with all company personnel, customers, OEMS, and end users to present a professional, consistent image. Interactions includes sharing of ideas, keeping commitments, keeping others informed of the work progress
  3. Good organizational skill that allow for easy transfer of knowledge and best practices
  4. Proficient in design and modeling software to effectively communicate products or concepts to customers
  5. Work closely with Custom Product and manufacturing companies in regards to Custom Products and Forecasting
  6. Completes work accurately and on time
  7. This position may also require certain management and department responsibilities
  8. Occasional site visits to meet with customer's engineering counterparts to review documents
  9. Some international travel may be required
  10. Committed to the protection of the environment and health and safety of our employees, customers, and neighbors. Responsible for maintaining and continuously improving our Environmental Management System (EMS).

Desired Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of advanced engineering experience (ME) in the field of design, ECP, or construction services relating to process piping systems
  • Proficient in SolidWorks or similar modeling software
  • Experience with BIM and/or Plant Design digital libraries
  • Proficient personal computer skills, including working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • PE stamp is highly desirable
  • Passing the Company Post-Employment physical as well as controlled substance testing and background/security checks, as required

Knowledge, Skills, Training, and Abilities:

  • Ability to work with and preserve confidential information

Senior Estimator

Georg Fischer LLC, a world leader in plastic piping systems for industrial applications, seeks a highly organized, motivated and energetic candidate for our Senior Estimator position. This role will support the sale of fabricated industrial Process Piping Systems through collaborating with GF designers and engineers, project planning, and our production team. Responsibilities include reviewing contract documents for pricing accuracy, drafting contract proposals based on generated bid estimates, and assist the company in developing bid strategy. A large degree of technical skills will be in use to support the technical sales team with scope development, bid requirements and contractual language, design reviews, and budget estimates.

Our ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Minimum 7 years' experience in estimating is required
  • Previous experience in technically related industry is required
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in process piping estimating 
  • Knowledge and experience with process piping, and plumbing techniques and technologies

Supply Chain Analyst / Demand Planner

Major multinational manufacturer of thermoplastic piping systems and instrumentation serving the microelectronics, water treatment, chemical processing, food and beverage, oil, gas and life sciences is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual for to partner with our supply team to drive business excellence and improved performance for GF Piping Systems Business Unit Americas. In this key role, you will support the organization with inventory analytics have ownership of Demand Planning and will be instrumental in creating the supporting processes. You will partner with Sales and Marketing to develop and update the rolling forecast and collaborate with Procurement and the Production team regarding inventory planning and management to respond to fluctuations in customer demand.

Our ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Supply Chain Management or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in supply chain, finance, or equivalent
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills, including analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with global, multi-site manufacturing and sales sites
  • Supply chain experience focused on the demand planning side of an industrial business
  • Working knowledge of planning/procurement processes within an ERP environment a must, preferably SAP
  • Understanding of transportation and other logistics concepts preferred
  • Project Management experience preferred
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple overlapping projects simultaneously

Technical Support Representative

A major multinational manufacturer of thermoplastic piping systems and instrumentation, serving the microelectronics, water treatment, commercial water, chemical processing, data center/mission critical, food and beverage, life sciences/institutional and building technology market segments, is seeking a hands-on, hardworking Technical Support Representative.

This employee will be responsible for assisting customers with technical inquires and service issues. Services include start up commissioning, preventive maintenance, repair services, basic operational training for customers, and similar field tasks.

Skill sets and qualifications include:

  • Graduate of an electronics technical school or two-year Associate Degree in electronic technology or military equivalent, preffered
  • Minimum of two years of repair, troubleshooting, or field service experience industrial instrumentation, valves and piping systems, a plus
  • Ability to read schematics, and blueprints, a plus
  • Able to exercise sound judgement in the absence of specific design
