From innovation to application

The Ostalb Water Utility Association is a regional water supply utility in Baden-Württemberg. For almost 50 years, it has been supplying 18 member communities and cities in the Swabian Alb region with two million cubic meters of drinking water annually. A challenge in the area are the topographical heights. Now the company decided to exchange their metal PRV with the plastic NeoFlow PRV.

VVS a.s. is a water utility based in the Slovakian city of Košice. It produces and distributes potable water and operates sewers as well as water treatment installations throughout the country. With a total of nine plants and 2,000 employees, VVS is the largest water utility in Slovakia and provides many people with water. In order to solve a pressure issue in part of its network, the company selected NeoFlow by GF Piping Systems.

IRETI supplies water to over 2.5 million customers in almost 300 municipalities in Northwest Italy, with a network of roughly 20’000 kilometers. The company faces the challenge of non-revenue water and with it the associated maintenance and asset lifetime. A precise pressure management with NeoFlow PRV reduced the rate of pipe bursts by over 60%.

Pecquencourt is a commune in the Nord department in the Hauts-de-France region in north-central France with around 6000 inhabitants. After facing issues with a pressure regulating valve (PRV), the decision was made to upgrade the water network with a modern valve that could meet the challenges of the local water supply. Here, GF Piping Systems supplied its NeoFlow pressure regulating valve with a polymer body and an axial flow construction. 

The customer, RAJA S.A. CONSTANTA, decided to tackle water loss issues with a pressure management solution. By installing a prefabricated plastic chamber equipped with a flowmeter and a NeoFlow Pressure Reducing Valve (to reduce the pressure in the target DMA), they achieved a substantial reduction of losses in the area without repairing existing damages. 

To secure its water supply, the city of Bingen in Rhineland-Palatinate obtains additional water from the nearby city of Ingelheim. However, the connection between the two water networks experiences different and sometimes strongly fluctuating pressures. Therefore, the municipal utility of Bingen decides to install NeoFlow.

The district of Cochem-Zell is located in Rhineland Palatinate and has around 60.000 residents. The main challenge for the water supply is the proximity to the Mosel valley, as the 1.400 km network has to navigate large elevation changes. In need of a long-lasting and maintenance-free solution, the water works select NeoFlow by GF Piping Systems.

With a total output of 600 liters per minute, efficient water management is crucial for Pearlwater, which bottles around 100 million liters of beverages every year. To ensure safe and hygienic production, Pearlwater requires process tanks that need to be refilled in a precise and reliable manner. To ensure the highest quality in that process, the company chose NeoFlow, the pressure regulating valve (PRV).

The previous pressure regulating valve made of cast iron was causing issues in Saint-Donan. On the one hand, the network was experiencing problems with turbidity, while there were high pressure differences that were challenging to manage. On the search for a solution, Saint-Brieuc Armor Agglomération decided to try a new material and implement NeoFlow as well as the MULTI/JOINT system designed to connect different piping materials.

In Huntsville, Texas, the Public Works Department needed a pressure regulating valve that was easy to handle and quick to install while delivering stable and precise pressure regulation in order to achieve a balanced water distribution network. A main consideration for the Public Works Department while choosing the replacement valves were the size and weight of the valves which is why NeoFlow PRV offered the ideal solution.

Hotel Aqua Live was experiencing maintenance problems with its previous metal PRV. The previous metal valve was unwieldy and difficult to handle during servicing. To regulate the hotel’s water pressure and reduce complexity, Hotel Aqua Live chose NeoFlow as the solution for their hotel service lines.

Mer Island in the Torres Strait had access to water for only 3 – 6 hours a day. The network was highly volatile and losses were significant. To achieve a rapid reduction in disruptions and establish ongoing, reliable supply Detection Services opted for NeoFlow pressure regulating valves from GF Piping Systems.

Da Nang is a sprawling city that is home to almost one million inhabitants. It is in the district of Cam Le where DAWACO has decided to upgrade their water distribution network by replacing their existing metal valve. Within this project, DAWACO expected a valve that is able to regulate two pressure setpoints with minimal headloss pressure and found the ideal solution in the NeoFlow Dual Setpoint Pressure Reducing Valve.

The Moya network in the city of Tangerang provides water to 30.000 customers as well as 90% of the water used in the nearby Jakarta International Airport. In order to support the current production capacity while simultaneously maintaining a stable pressure, PT. Moya Indonesia decided to implement NeoFlow pressure regulating valves.

In the past, Sibu’s water board relied on a metal PRV combined with a controller to manage the pressure in one of their district metering areas. With the metal PRV, the necessary downstream pressure could not be achieved and the metal valve did not communicate reliably with the controller. In order to maintain a low outlet stable pressure NeoFlow PRV was chosen.
