The Fuseal 25/50 PVDF piping system eliminates many of the difficulties previously associated with piping systems within return-air plenums for corrosive waste drain, waste vent (DWV) piping systems. The PVDF compound provides a wide spectrum of chemical resistance, thermal stability, a flame-spread rating below 25 and a smoke-generation rating below 50 when tested in accordance to the UL723/ASTM E84 Test Method.
With Fuseal 25/50 PVDF, users are able to cover a wide temperature range. The possible operating temperatures range from 32°F (0 °C) to 284°F (140 °C).
For chemical and high temperature resistance, low permeability and high mechanical strength, PVDF is an excellent material of choice for hot and corrosive chemical waste streams. These environments are generally found in pharmaceutical and chemical industries, college and secondary-education laboratories as well as hospital waste systems.
The Fuseal 25/50 PVDF piping system scores with low total installation costs, the system being jointed via electrofusion using our state-of-the-art Electro Plus fusion machine. No external fire protection is needed to meet the 25/50 requirements of return-air plenum installations.
