GF at IFAT 2026: Building reliable water networks together

23.04.26 - 15:00 (heure d’Europe centrale)

Together with VAG, GF will present an extensive selection of valves, piping systems, automation, jointing, and complete solutions for water and wastewater infrastructure. Under the shared message “Building reliable water networks together”, GF will highlight how customers benefit from integrated Flow Solutions designed to perform reliably, safely and efficiently across the entire infrastructure lifecycle.

Swiss company GF is reshaping itself to become the global leader for Flow Solutions for Buildings, Industry and Infrastructure. With the acquisition of the German VAG-Group in October 2025, GF now benefits from VAG’s globally recognized metal valve technologies, significantly strengthening the company’s infrastructure portfolio and deepening its system capabilities. The result is improved compatibility across components, simplified sourcing and logistics, stronger local support, and solutions designed to reduce leakages, lower maintenance costs and increase network longevity.

“At IFAT 2026, we will show our most comprehensive portfolio yet,” comments Juerg Peter, President Business Unit EMEA at GF. “Today’s water infrastructure challenges and the rising complexity of industrial applications require new approaches. By combining our polymer expertise with VAG’s high-performance metal valves, we can now deliver truly end-to-end Flow Solutions.”

Tomi Lakanen, Head of Business Unit VAG, adds: “By combining our portfolios, we deliver far more than the sum of our individual strengths. Together, we offer a comprehensive infrastructure portfolio and a true end-to-end system solution – from standardized offers enabling rapid deployment to highly flexible, tailored configurations for end-users all around the globe. IFAT will be a key platform to demonstrate how the combined capabilities of GF and VAG translate into tangible added value for our customers.”

Integrated Flow Solutions for water infrastructure

At IFAT, visitors can discover key technologies and innovations designed to strengthen water resilience, improve lifecycle performance and enable a reliable, efficient operation. This includes a Flowise chamber solution that offers utilities an efficient way to reduce leakages, protect water quality and lower network costs. It features components such as GF’s NeoFlow pressure regulating and pressure sustaining valves or VAG RIKO Control Valves, complemented by VAG EKN Butterfly Valves as well as VAG’s EKOplus and BETA gate valves. At the same time, the Swiss Flow Solutions provider will display efficient network repair technologies like the MULTI/JOINT 3000 Plus, which connects pipes from distribution and transport grids with a restraint pull-out resistance system.

Automation, control and system integration

In addition to an extensive valve line-up, including the new Butterfly Valve 565 Big in DN400, GF will present its Valve Automation Solutions. Rather than treating valves, actuators, and accessories as separate components, the service develops and supplies fully integrated automation solutions. The product range covers all valve brands, types, and sizes, as well as materials such as plastic and metal. This simplifies the planning process while offering a high degree of customization.

Jointing solutions: connections that last when it matters

Flow Solutions can only be as reliable as their connections. Here, the focus will be on the IR-225 M, an infrared fusion machine designed for a range of materials, including PVDF, PP-H, PP-n, PE100, ECTFE, and PVC-U, and offers a fully controlled fusion process as well as an active cooling system. In the field of electrofusion, visitors can experience the CONNECT Welding App. As part of a digital welding documentation platform, it helps users document welding processes faster, easier, and more reliably. Throughout IFAT, experts will also offer live demonstrations of various Jointing Solutions at the booth

Hydrogen solutions and expert session

GF will further show how corrosion-free thermoplastic piping systems enable safe and durable hydrogen infrastructure across the value chain, from production and distribution to usage. Applications include ultrapure water treatment, electrolyser technologies, certified hydrogen transport and components for type IV storage tanks.

As part of the IFAT conference program, Cyrus Ardjomandi, Business Development Manager, will speak at the Hydrogen Stage on Monday, 4 May 2026, at 3 p.m. His presentation, “Why hydrogen EPCs, OEMs and integrators switch to thermoplastic piping systems design”, will explain how corrosion-free thermoplastic piping systems support safe, durable and reliable hydrogen infrastructure across the value chain.
