Radar continuous level measurement

In tanks containing heavily agitated liquids or dense foam layers, the GF radar level transmitters are the best choice in terms of performance, reliability and durability.

The GF 2290 non-contact and 2291 guided radar level transmitters are made for the challenging level measurement applications.

With its ability to read accurately when other non-contacting or invasive methods fail, the guided level transmitter type 2291 using GWR (guided wave radar) is the solution in challenging level measuring applications without moving parts inside the tank. The radar signal is sent down the probe assembly eliminating the interferences caused by low dielectric liquids, heavy fuming, slightly conductive foams, internal tank obstructions, turbulences, etc. By focusing its energy along the probe, the type 2291 can be installed in tanks or bypass pipes with limited space as well. Reaching the tank media, the radar signal gets reflected back to the radar sensor which is then calculating the tank level based on the reflection time of the signal.

In applications with heavy fumes or dense foam layers with moving parts inside the tank, the 2290 non-contact radar level transmitter is the right choice.
