Plastic beats metal in water treatment – witness it now on-demand

At the recent "Flow to the Future" digital event, GF Piping Systems showcased its latest water treatment innovations to attendees from more than 80 countries. All sessions for this highly innovative event are now available on-demand on the GF digital campus.

GF Piping Systems focuses on being the leading flow solutions provider globally. The latest GF digital event revolved around the future of process automation in water treatment. The Butterfly Valve 565, the new flagship butterfly valve manufactured in GF's leading-edge manufacturing plant in Seewis, Switzerland, was introduced to the audience. Lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and maintenance-free, the valve entered the arena, ready to challenge its metal counterpart in every round.

 

Hosted by Chris Brow, the event was broadcast live across multiple time zones on 29 April 2021. The packed agenda included a keynote from multi-weight world boxing champion Regina Halmich, panel sessions including GF and industry heavy-hitters, and the latest knockout innovations, such as the Butterfly Valve 565.

Process Automation made easy

Sandra Schiller (GF Piping Systems), Greg Sutcliffe (GF Piping Systems), Nils Steinfelder (Meyer Werft), and Pieter Loose (Ekopak) discussed how completing the process automation control loop for plastic piping systems can simplify the design, planning, and installation of multiple water treatment applications.

 

Visions of water

The future of sustainable water infrastructure session with Antoine Walter (GF Piping Systems), Jacob Bossaer (BOSAQ), and Gilad Yogev (Fluence) discussed decentralized water treatment, micro-utilities, and the vision for water infrastructure in the 21st century.

The great minds from GF Piping Systems joined forces to discuss the future of water. Water 4.0 focused on how digitalization and sustainability go hand in hand to tackle the world of water's biggest challenges.
