Modern ultrasonic flowmeters, clammed right onto the pipes without the need for drilling, give deeper insights. New diaphragm valves can double the flow compared to same-sized older models. Level sensors operating with radar technology provide precise measurements of foamy or unsteady surfaces. Modern plastic materials can reduce system vibrations and hydraulic shocks, further increasing its lifespan.
Plastic piping systems are superior to metal in many aspects. They are corrosion-free and do not need to be replaced over the entire lifespan of the system (at least 25 years), reducing the needs and costs of maintenance and repairs drastically. Their excellent chemical resistance against aggressive media used in water treatment and their abrasion-resistance when working with water-solid mixtures are further advantages. Due to their lower weight, up to 60 percent less, installations are faster and easier.
