Maximum service life
The durability of our corrosion-free systems supports the economical use of energy and raw materials. Depending on the system and application, they have a calculated service life of sometimes more than 25, 50, or 100 years.
High energy efficiency
The pre-insulated systems are, on average, 30 percent more energy efficient than post-insulated metal systems. This reduces the energy consumption of the installation and helps to achieve environmental certifications such as DGNB, BREEAM, and LEED.
Minimal logistical requirements
Decentralized production across 34 locations in America, Asia, and Europe reduces transport to the bare minimum. Our lightweight systems allow for the reduction of heavy transport equipment for delivery and on the construction site.
Low carbon dioxide emissions
The production, transport, and disposal of our systems have a significantly better overall carbon footprint than metal systems. The PE system, for example, produces only a quarter of the CO2 emissions of cast iron.
Our modular systems, some also with detachable plug or screw connections, enable the reuse of components. The plastic can also be recycled at the end of its service life.

The GF Piping Systems production plants are certified for their environmental management system according to ISO 14001. Quality management according to ISO 9001 and health and safety management according to OHSAS 18001 or ISO 45001 are also part of our efforts to offer sustainable products and solutions. Energy efficiency and climate and environmental protection are key elements that are strategically anchored in our product development. Our production is continually evaluated for ways to reduce energy consumption and emissions, such as cooling using ambient air and investing in new, more efficient machines.
The Georg Fischer group publishes sustainability reports in accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative, has committed itself to annual CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project) reporting, and is a participant in the UN Global Compact.
