COOL-FIT: „Made for you“

Nov 9, 2011 7:00 AM

Georg Fischer Piping Systems (GFPS) exhibits plastic piping systems for breweries at Brau Beviale 2011 in Nuremberg from November 09 to 11. Innovative system solutions re the focus of the exhibition. GFPS is presenting the success stories and new developments of COOL-FIT and the extensive line of Georg Fischer products for efficient and reliable water treatment as well as innovative diaphragm valves.

Georg Fischer Piping Systems offers plastic piping systems that comply precisely with the needs of breweries. Plastic pipes do not corrode, which means long-term efficiency is guaranteed. The smooth inner wall of the pipes reduces pressure loss and prevents lime deposits. With the right jointing technology from Georg Fischer, installation time can be shortened and maintenance costs reduced. These features benefit manufacturers of beer and other alcoholic beverages.

COOL-FIT is a fully pre-insulated plastic pipe system for secondary cooling and refrigeration piping systems. Thanks to a low thermal conductivity of 0.026 W/m·K, COOL-FIT retains heat or cold 30% better than conventional piping systems, and COOL-FIT saves energy during operation. The complete product range comprises pipes, fittings, valves and adaptors. With the installation time being up to six times faster compared to conventional systems and excellent corrosion resistance, COOLFIT sustainably increases efficiency, while lowering installation and maintenance costs.

Water Treatment

Georg Fischer has a comprehensive range of products that includes piping systems, components and valves, as well as measurement and control technology. The product selection has recently been expanded with the new generation of diaphragm valves, which have decisive advantages not only in handling and safety, but also in regard to efficiency. The flow in these new valves is on average twice that of conventional diaphragm valves. In addition, the central plastic thread, which is used in place of the usual four metal screws, guarantees a corrosion-resistant connection.

Automation of the valves is easy with the Diastar pneumatic valve actuator. Thanks to the three different pressure categories – up to 6 bar, up to 10 bar and up to 16 bar – the pneumatically actuated diaphragm valves are quickly and easily integrated into nearly all piping systems.
