Georg Fischer logo in print and electronic media


1. General rules:

General rules:

As a general rule, third parties may not use the Georg Fischer (GF) logo. The logo may be used in limited circumstances as outlined below with the prior authorization of Georg Fischer LLC or Georg Fischer Central Plastics LLC. The logo can only be used to identify GF products and/or services and pursuant to the following specification. Use of the logo outside of this specification is strictly prohibited. Third parties may only use the GF logo without a license under the following circumstances:

  • In advertising, website or other marketing collateral that references GF products and/or services (e.g. the reference must include a statement regarding your representation as an authorized distributor or reseller) and must also include in the general area a prominent corporate logo of the third party utilizing such reference.

  • In an area of an advertisement, website or marketing collateral exclusively dedicated to the sale of GF products and must also include a reference to the authorized third party or the logo of the third party in the same contextual area.

Do not use the GF corporate logo in third party products, product packaging or other business services outside of these guidelines without written authorization from an a representative in the direct employment by Georg Fischer LLC or Georg Fischer Central Plastics LLC.

2. The following guidelines must be followed for all use of the logo:

  • Use the positive version on a white background. Logo can be used, as provided by GF, on white backgrounds with blue or black text (except in e-media) or on dark background with white text.

  • The logo may not be accompanied by any registrations (trademarks or copyrights) or special characters.

  • The logo cannot be accompanied by secondary text. Any secondary text must be separated, as a rule, horizontally and vertically by the width of the plus “+” sign in the logo.

For no reason can the color of the logo be altered from the 3 previously stated color options.

3. How to properly place the logo:

Guidelines

To properly place the logo, a minimum clearance between the logo and other elements must be maintained. As a general rule the minimum clearance can be set horizontally or vertically by the width of the plus “+” sign in the logo, as seen in the following reference.

Logos cannot be used on apps without the written authorization from Georg Fischer LLC or Georg Fischer Central Plastics LLC.

4. Sizing of the logo:

The width of the logo must always be a minimum of 76 pixels for digital media or 1.5” (38mm) for print.

5. Usage requirements of Georg Fischer’s logo:

  • The GF logo may not be displayed as the primary or prominent feature on any non-Georg Fischer related advertising, website or other marketing collateral. Entities utilizing the logo pursuant to these guidelines must also display as primary and more prominent feature, their own logo(s), business name or other identifiers representing their company.

  • The logo may not be imitated or used as a design feature in any manner, nor can the “+GF+” be represented in print. ONLY “GF” can be used in print form.

  • The “GF”, “GF Piping Systems”, “Georg Fischer” in print, nor the GF logo can be used in any company name, product name, domain name, website title, or publication title without prior written authorization.

  • Materials created by third-parties may not mimic advertising, product packaging or website design of GF and must include prominently the logo of the representative company.

6. Visual requirements of Georg Fischer’s logo:

  • The logo cannot be modified in anyway, including font, color, proportion, design or wording.

  • The logo must stand alone and may not be combined with any other objects, including but not limited to other logos, words, graphics, photos, slogans, numbers, design features or symbols.

  • The logo cannot be used to represent the written words “GF”, “Georg Fischer” or “GF Piping Systems” in a headline, product name or body copy.

  • The logo cannot be used in any manner as part of, or incorporated into a company’s name, domain name, product or service name, design, slogan or co-branded in any form. The Logo cannot be used in conjunction with trademarks or registrations of any kind. The logo cannot be placed as an icon in shapes

7. Request for use of Georg Fischer logo

The logo can be used in limited circumstances upon request and with prior authorization from Georg Fischer LLC or Georg Fischer Central Plastics LLC. To request use of the Georg Fischer logo please send requested information (below) to the following email address.

Please send email to us.ps@georgfischer.com that includes:

  • Company name
  • Company address
  • Name of requester
  • Requesters contact info (including email for receipt of digital file)
  • Where the logo is planned to be used.
  • Requested format of logo: (Web: JPEG), (Print: EPS)

Logos can be resized; without modification of proportions, but cannot be further modified or represented.

Georg Fischer LLC and Georg Fischer Central Plastics LLC reserve the right in its sole discretion to terminate or modify permission to display the logo, and may request that third parties modify or delete any use of the logo that, in Georg Fischer’s sole judgment, does not comply with these guidelines. Georg Fischer further reserves the right to object to the misuse of the Georg Fischer logo or trademarks and may take applicable action within the rights provided by prevailing law.

Once notified of misuse by Georg Fischer if the abuser is an authorized distributor or reseller and action is not taken to correct a violation of the terms of these guidelines, any contractual agreements in place between Georg Fischer and the authorized distributor or reseller can be terminated within 90 days of written notice.
