Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is one of the most broadly used thermoplastic materials, common to many industries. PVC is highly resistant to acids, alkalis, alcohols, and many other corrosive materials.  GF Harvel uses its own custom blend of PVC compound to ensure that desirable physical properties are maintained with every production run.

GF Harvel PVC SDR is ideal for numerous applications when a standard ratio dimension is required. Pipes are available in both gray and white colors.  Fittings are not available from GF Havel.

GF Harvel SDR PVC pipes can withstand temperatures up to 140°F (60°C). GF Harvel also offers various pipe end options including: belled and gasketed ends as well as custom dimensions and lengths.

Specification

SDR Series 13.5, 21, 26, 41

  1. All PVC SDR Series pipe shall be manufactured from a Type I, Grade I Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) compound with a Cell Classification of 12454 per ASTM D1784. The pipe shall be manufactured in strict compliance to ASTM D2241, consistently meeting and/or exceeding the Quality Assurance test requirements of this standard with regard to pressure rating, material, workmanship, burst pressure, flattening, impact resistance, and extrusion quality.

  2. The pipe shall be manufactured in the USA, using domestic materials, by an ISO 9001 certified manufacturer. Standard lengths of pipe sizes 10" and larger shall be beveled each end by the pipe manufacturer. All pipe shall be stored indoors after production at the manufacturing site until shipped from factory. This pipe shall carry the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) seal of approval for potable water applications. All pipe shall be manufactured by GF Harvel.

* The Pressure ratings shown are for water, non-shock, @ 73F with plain end pipe. The maximum service temperature for PVC is 140F. Appropriate temperature de-rating factors must be applied to determine the maximum allowable pressure when working at elevated temperatures greater than 73F.
